Wintrow paced his shared quarters, back and forth, several times. He did not want to do it, not again, not so soon after being discharged from a medical facility. Not so soon after finally being allowed to fly again. He wrung his hands anxiously, looking over at the other side of the room, still wondering who exactly he was sharing with.

He stared at the PADD on his bed, which held his extensive medical record. No doubt there'd be questions, every doctor asked questions he really preferred not to answer anymore. But did he really have a choice? Did he really want to be hauled in kicking and screaming?

Wintrow looked at his reflection in the mirror, idly noting that his hair needed a new dye job because his very blonde roots were starting to show against the brown dye. He sighed and picked up the PADD and dragged himself to the ship's medical facility. He straggled at the doorway, looking more like a lost and frigtened deer than a brave pilot.

Anne was looking over some crew reports. Getting prepared for a launch can be very busy. With a very small crew it made her job very very busy. She noticed another crew come in. Like many others he looked less then excited to come by. "Welcome. If your here for an exam please, come in have a seat."

Startled, the cadet seemed to jump and hurry towards the indicated bed. "Ma'am," he started, offering the PADD to her, "I know it's extensive, but it should speak for itself..." He sat on the bed and folded his hands in his lap, legs swinging freely. "I'll answer any question you have." Though from the look of his face and the anxiety in his dark eyes, he really rather not.

Anne took the PADD and laid it down on her desk as she approached the bed. She could tell he was anxious. "Well lets start off by laying down for a scan. And how about you tell me about how you adjusting to the Fearless."

Wintrow stretched out on the bed, folding his hands over his abdomen, his fingers white as they laced together tightly. "I arrived a few hours ago ma'am. So far I've met with the captain, and I've spent a little time in my new room. I don't need much space though, I've never owned much anyways."

She couple relate to that she didn't have much in the way of personal belongings either. She started to do her scan. "Looks like your getting a lot knocked out on your first day. So what is your specialty on this little tugboat?"

"Tugboat ma'am?" Surprise flickered across the cadet's face, replacing just a fraction of his anxiety, "I'm a pilot ma'am...cadet senior grade, but fully qualified to fly shuttles and fighters."

She smiled and laughed on the inside at the reaction he had to her tugboat remark. "I was just referring to the fact this little shop resembles a flying brick more than a elegant Starship." She finished the scan. "You can sit up if you want."

Wintrow sat up, turning to let his legs dangle off the bed again. "I think she's quite elegant and i can't wait to learn how to fly her," the boy smiled, a dreamy look touching his dark eyes as he already imagined taking her through the most complex maneuvres. "So...am I fit for duty? And please say there's nothing wrong, because I really don't want to start off being grounded a second time."

She smiled. "I will look over your volumes of history but from this scan you are cleared for duty" She helped him off the bio-bed. "Anything else you would like to talk about while your here?"

Relief flooded the young man's features at the news, then he shook his head. "No, I don't feel I need to talk about anything right now ma'am. Can I go?" He wanted to leave this room as soon as he could, before the doctor might change her mind and make him stay.

She chuckled at his anxiousness. "Yes, your not being held against your will. I am not sure what happened in your past that made you fear Sickbay so much. I am just here to help you cope, heal, and ready you for your job Cadet. Feel free to come see me whenever you need."

"It's all in my file," the boy suggested as he hopped off the bed, "you'll see why..." He smiled sadly. "Perhaps it'll get better but last assignment...i got grounded for no reason, and then some entity attacked telepaths and it made me hear things." He licked his lips. "I went out without protective gear...and nearly froze. A marine put me under a hot shower, and apparently I had a heart attack then?"

After hearing all of that Anne turned back to the scans she just took to make sure she didn't miss anything. She hadn't which put her at ease. "Well your good and safe now. Like I said if you need anything just stop by."

Wintrow nodded. "I will," he promised, starting towards the door. "Thank you doctor."
